The Soon-to-Be-Parents

Andy & Jess (32 Weeks)

Andy and Jess arrived to our house this evening. Andy drove Jess up for her shower next weekend. Andy gets to stay for the weekend, and Jess will be here the whole week! Tammy will be flying up from Florida on Tuesday, so we're all very excited to have a week of "girl time"! (Well, I'm not sure how excited Jeff and Jason are...)

By the way...I may not be able to post every day while everyone's in town. Things are going to be a little bit crazy!

Feeling Productive

I got a lot accomplished today...I think I'm gradually learning how to juggle all of the new responsibilities that come with being a SAHM. I was able to do all the things that Noah and I usually do together in a day, as well as:

1) Make a call to the Pest Control people to have them come out and help me with a possible bird stuck in the attic. (Very exciting!--no bird, but they did find the hole where they were getting in.)
2) Call Time Warner Cable and tell them our phone/Internet was down...again.
3) Do 4 loads of laundry.
4) I had to use the handy[wo]man skills that I learned from watching Dad when I was younger for this one...Modify the free-standing pull-up bar that Jeff got so it will fit under our steps in the garage. (Now he can return to parking in the garage, instead of outside!)
5) Finish up some shower decorations for next weekend.
6) Make dinner.

Whew!...Keep in mind I also continued with Noah's regularly scheduled routine, in addition to keeping myself and Hannah fed and watered.

Disclaimer: Believe me when I say that this was NOT a typical day for me. Usually I would let things go a little (dishes stacking up, dust bunnies tumbling around on the floor, stinky laundry waiting in the hampers, etc.) I was feeling motivated, so I took advantage of the urge! Hooray for a day like today!

Mommy's Day Out!

I had some shopping to finish up before Jessica's shower, so Tara and I hit the town for the day! We typically make all these plans to go to a bunch of different stores, and then wind up getting stuck at the first stop for 2-3 hours! And it happened again today...I don't know how it happens...but inevitably it does! Even so, we finished up our rounds, had a tasty lunch, and were home before the Hayes boys got off the bus. Not too shabby! So now we're all ready for the shower in Indiana next weekend...just got to get it all hidden away before Jess arrives at my house in two days!

Well, I'm wiped out! Good night!

Switching Districts

This one is really about Jeff, but I had to post a cute pic of Noah just to make sure I had everyone's attention. They are doing some switching around at Jeff's work, and changing their districts. Jeff has decided to make the change to the Lexington district, so he won't be doing to the drive to Berea anymore. Now he'll cover Lexington and stores west of there along I-64. Supposedly, these changes take effect March 1st. While the Lexington district does not include the Winchester store, (that is only 5 minutes from our house) he's still eligible for consideration if a spot ever opens up there. So we'll see what happens...
