Peek-a-Boo Baby

Over the past few days, we've had a lot of fun watching Noah discover the art of Peek-a-Boo! He will hide behind his burp cloth, and then with comedic timing, pull it away to see us!

River Keeper 5K

We did it!! Tara and I ran our first race together this evening! I think we did a great job, considering how little time these two Moms have to train...We ran the 5K (3.1 miles) in 37:41 give or take a few seconds! They passed out T-shirts and trees to all participants. I picked an oak, and Tara got a persimmon. Not only that, but my number was drawn during the door prizes, so I got a nifty reusable shopping bag with a large fleece blanket inside! It was a great way to celebrate Earth Day. **Thanks to Mamaw and Papaw for hanging out with the boys while we ran!**

And They're Off!

Teagan and Noah

Jeff managed to get off work early to come watch--I was so surprised to see him!

End of the 2nd Mile--which was a killer uphill climb

It really wasn't that bad, I was just being dramatic for the picture! :)

Tayman & Taylan's 7th Birthday Party!

Wrapping Up a Busy Beautiful Day

After all our work was finished, we headed out for dinner at Puleo's Grille. We met up with Luc and Mandy there. Noah sat across the table from Luc and Mandy, and my-oh-my(!) was he flirting with them! It was so neat that it worked out for all of us to get together!

Perparing the Nursery

While the guys were outside playing the in the dirt, Jess and I were inside "nesting". I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

I'm really thinking I need to start my own organizational consultant business...

And That's How It's Done

This past Saturday, Jeff, Noah, and I drove down to Knoxville to visit Andy and Jess. We wanted to help them get ready for the baby...he's expected to arrive around the 29th of this month...so not much longer! Andy and Jeff spent the day working outside on landscaping. The weather was perfect, and they got a lot done! At one point, Jess was peeking out the window to check on their progress, and this is what she saw...

I guess Andy was ready to get rid of the mound of dirt in their backyard and came up with this solution! :)

The Simple Joy of a Ball

While walking through the toy aisle of Wal-Mart the other day, Jeff and I decided to pick out a new toy for Noah. We thought one of those big rubber balls would be just the thing...he loves it!

Not Quite Crawling...

I turned Noah's floor activity mat into a tunnel. It's supposed to encourage crawling...he's not quite able to get his tummy up off the floor....but he can definitely roll, scoot, pivot, and slide!

Time for a Big Boy Bath

I think the whole first-time-Mom-thing made me slow to realize how big Noah is getting! I knew that his feet were touching the end of his baby tub, but I just kept thinking, "He's too little for the big tub." It took Mamaw noting his cramped bathing quarters for me to make the switch. It was really neat though, because Trystan was over for the evening and got to help me with Noah's first Big Boy Bath! He broke out the bubbles and we all had a great time!

Mamaw and Papaw are home!

After almost 4 months, we welcomed home the weary travelers! It was so good to see Mamaw and Papaw again! They spend every winter in Florida selling their Kettle Corn. This was the first time Dad had seen Noah (except via Skype) since December...Noah loves his Papaw! (Look, he even wears his pants like Papaw's! LOL!)

For lunch, we went to Giovanni's and enjoyed their pizza buffet. Noah was really having fun with his best buddy, Teagan!

Spring is in the Air!

Jeff's off this week, and we were planning to make a trip up to Asheville to see our friends. Well, with Noah being sick, we decided not to try it. So...now we've decided to do some Spring projects here around the house. Jeff started working on the landscaping back in March, and then we had some miserable weather....today was beautiful though, so he was able to finish up. The slideshow demonstrates his workmanship...thanks babe, it looks GREAT!

You'll also see Jeff's new toy...a pressure washer! I can't tell you how many times I've heard about that thing. He's been eyeing them for months! Today his dream came true! Happy Pressure Washing!

Today's Dr. Visit

We took Noah for his 9 month well baby visit today. There were no shots given at this visit, which was especially good because Noah's been a little sick the past few days. Here are his stats:
Weight: 19 lbs. 13 oz.
Length: 28 in.
Cute Factor: 100%

9 Months Old!!

Noah turned 9 months old yesterday...I can't believe how fast the time goes! I remember hearing my parents say things like this when I was young. I always thought they were silly, mostly because time seemed to move so slowly for me. Now I understand what they were talking about! He's growing so fast, it seems like every time I get him up from a nap his hair is longer! Speaking of growing...I noticed a tooth sprout today! It hasn't quite popped through into visibility yet, but I can definitely feel it!

The Creation Museum

Yesterday Tara and I loaded up the boys and headed for the Creation Museum. We met Betsy and her boys there for a day of fun! The weather was really nice, and we all had a great time!
