Georgetown Kite Festival

Mamaw and Papaw arrived back in town this week, and we're so glad they're back! They had a couple days to regroup in Corbin, before heading out to their weekend events. Mamaw was pretty close by in Georgetown, so Noah and I went up to visit for the day. The event she was working was the Georgetown International Kite & Culture Festival. I think it was probably the best family event I've ever been to. It was only $5 to park, and then they had inflatables, kite making, kite flying, dancing, food, vendor booths, etc. There were families sitting in lawn chairs or lounging on blankets, around this huge open field, where everyone was running around flying kites. It was so relaxing and very fun!

And we did it!! That's our kite all the way up there!

He is Risen!!

We had such a beautiful weekend to celebrate what Jesus did to give us life! Jessie and Josiah came up to visit, and we all got together at Jason and Tara's for an Easter dinner and egg hunt. We had a great time celebrating and hanging out together...

From the Mouths of Babes

Noah's vocabulary has been growing, and as a 21 month old, he can say quite a bit. Of course, most of what he says is some version of the actual word, but Mommy and Daddy know what he's saying....:)

Words Noah can say:

  • Mama
  • Dada
  • Papaw
  • Mamaw
  • Andy
  • "T-T" (for any of Tara's boys)
  • Elmo
  • hi
  • hey
  • bye-bye
  • "ni-ni"-night
  • see
  • ball
  • cheese
  • "zaa-zaa"-pizza
  • more
  • cracker
  • cookie
  • apple
  • "nana"-banana
  • "gurt"-yogurt
  • juice
  • flower

AND.....Einstein...

Does this mean we let him watch too many Baby Einstein DVDs?

Noah's Got a Girlfriend!!

After my Lifegroup today, we took all the kids over to the park for a picnic lunch and some playtime! It was a beautiful day, and I'm so glad we got the chance to be outside and enjoy the sun!!!!

As we were cleaning up our picnic lunches, we had let the kids down to walk around in the pavilion. From the table, I glanced over to keep an eye on Noah, and this is what I saw...

Noah and Kate holding hands....aww, how cute!!

Then they took off across the lawn! I think they were ready to hit the playground!
