Monkey Joe's

We have Jason and Tara's youngest 3 this weekend, while they're off on a romantic ski retreat. :) So rather than keeping them all cooped up in the house together, we decided to make a trip to Monkey Joe's for the day. It was a great place to let them run and burn off some energy! They all had a blast!

Noah did not like the inflatables at all! They have a little toddler area and I took him in there to do some jumping and the slide--uh, yeah, he wasn't going for it. However, he really liked to sit inside the inflatables (safely in my lap) and watch the other kids jump. He also loved walking/running from one end of the building to the other while holding my hands. He wore me out!

More!

I've been working with Noah since he was about 6 months old on learning a few signs to help us communicate during feeding time. The first sign he ever did was the one for "dog". Then his second sign was the one for "Daddy". I was really excited when he did these two, but the ones I've really wanted him to learn were "all done" and "more". Especially because when he was finished eating he would just start flinging food off of his tray! Much to my delight, he started using the sign for "all done" about a month ago. We've been working on "more" for a L-O-N-G time...but he did it today! He was having Rice Krispie treats for the first time, and liked them enough to use the sign for "more". :)

My New Year!!

I know it's not January 1st, and that everyone rang in the New Year a month ago. I, however, was out of commission on January 1st, so I decided to declare today (February 1st) my New Year. Over the past few weeks/months, I haven't been feeling very well due to the wonderful blessing of a new life growing inside of me. I lost my appetite and my motivation. So since we moved, I've kinda been a bump on a log--only doing the things that were absolutely necessary--which pretty much consisted of taking care of Noah. I'm slowly regaining myself, and finding that my desire to blog has been rekindled! I'll be trying to recover some lost ground from the last few months. I'm pretty sure that if I do a couple posts at a time, then I'll be caught up in no time! That being said, I will be backdating some of my posts while adding current ones. (You may want to go back to November 18th to check out the video I posted today. It's one of Jeff finding out that we're expecting!) I've missed this!

Happy New Year!!!

One Little Monkey

Yes, that is a bruise...and yes, he was jumping on the bed...

It didn't seem to make him too sad though. :)
