Daniel Boone Pioneer Days 5K

This past week, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted! The surgery went well, and I got the go ahead from the surgeon to run the 5K that I had already signed up for. So on Saturday morning, Noah and I loaded up to head to the Clark County Library. Jeff had to work, and that meant that I would be pushing the stroller during the race! This was my first time to push Noah in the stroller for a race, and I wasn't too sure how well it would go...It must have been a smooth ride (probably since we walked part of it), because Noah fell asleep during mile 2. He slept through the finish of the race, and didn't wake up until we were on our way over to College Park to hear the race results!
Me, Kristen (this was her 1st 5K race), and Tara after finishing! Which, by the way, we finished in 41 minutes--only 3 minutes slower than our usual race pace. Not too bad considering...

The crowd gathered to hear the race results.

Noah clapped for all the winners!

Quite a turn out for the race (270 participants)!

Cousin Charlie's 1st Birthday Bash!

Today, Noah and I traveled to Cincinnati for Charlie's 1st birthday! It was a great party, and lots of loved ones came to be with the Swendimans on this special occasion! There was food, presents, and people, but my favorite part was definitely Charlie's first taste of CAKE!

Yummy!

The Grand Finale!

Stair Master

Yes, he has done it...Noah learned how to climb the stairs!! This is a very exciting new skill, and he wants to practice it every chance he gets! We, however, do not want to put the baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. These gates must be mounted (with screws) into the wall and woodwork, and considering we're hoping to move soon...well, it may not be worth the trouble. So for now, Mommy has to watch little man like a hawk! I bet you can imagine what I've been doing the past few days...:)

Father & Son Haircut Day

Jeff and I took Noah for his 1st professional haircut yesterday. I had tried to do it a couple times at home, just a trim here and a trim there...but I was never able to do a very good job. Mostly because Noah would put his hands up by his head or twist around suddenly or duck away or cry. So since Jeff had the day off, and was already planning a haircut for himself, I thought it would be great to all go together! (and then my hands would be free to take pictures!)

Before--Nice and happy on Daddy's lappy!

Ummm, what's she doing to me?!?!

HELP ME!!

Almost finished....

After--Don't they look handsome?

Yeah, I know, you can't really see Noah's new do, but trust me--it looks great! I can just imagine what Noah was thinking, "All finished! Yay! Outside where that lady can't get me anymore! Oh, look at that bird!"
